It started in a synagogue
with a wild dream
In July 2023, Chef Rony Parienty set up tables inside a Caulfield synagogue and created something no one had seen before. Katy Perry walked in. Shelanous moved to its permanent home in Port Melbourne. And Shelly was born here in Caulfield to carry the same spirit forward.
Every night, the team would build the restaurant from scratch and pack it all down by morning. Word spread. The waitlist grew to two months. Thirty strangers, one table, and three hours where food becomes theatre.
